UK FCA Lowers Stablecoin Issuer Capital Buffer to 1%, Below EU MiCA Standard

According to CoinDesk, the UK Financial Conduct Authority has released a draft crypto asset regulatory framework that would lower the capital buffer requirement for stablecoin issuers from 2% to 1%, below the comparable requirement under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The FCA said the adjustment is intended to improve the framework's applicability and operational feasibility while maintaining prudential oversight.
