According to BlockBeats, on July 18, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced an additional $100 billion investment in its Arizona semiconductor manufacturing facilities, bringing total U.S. investment to a record $265 billion.
The announcement came as U.S. President Trump highlighted June inflation data, noting that the Consumer Price Index posted its largest monthly decline in six years, beating forecasts from all 67 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. Trump stated that real wages rose 0.8% as prices fell across gasoline, electricity, auto insurance, hotels, and prescription drugs.
