President Trump on Wednesday threatened tariffs of 25% to 200% on companies that do not manufacture their products in the United States, with rates varying by product. Speaking after the NATO summit in Turkey, he stated: "If you build your product here, you pay no tariff. If you don't, you pay a 25% tariff... 35% sometimes... sometimes a 100%, 200%, depending on what the product is."
Trump added that the U.S. will soon have the world's largest aluminum plant in Oklahoma. The $4 billion Oklahoma Primary Aluminum project is currently undergoing technical studies and regulatory approvals, and is expected to create 1,000 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs over 30 years.
