Trump Signals U.S. May Rebuild Iran Infrastructure if Given Half Its Oil, June 10

According to ABC, on June 10, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the United States might participate in rebuilding Iran's infrastructure if America destroys it, but on condition that the U.S. receives half of Iran's oil. Trump stated: "Someone has to rebuild all these infrastructure—new bridges, new power plants. They say it will cost a trillion dollars, maybe more. This is why we'll probably end up participating in rebuilding and helping them rebuild." When asked if this would resemble a "Marshall Plan" for Iran, Trump replied "Yes," then added: "But we'll take half their oil."
