Trump Claims Iran Will 100% Abandon Nuclear Weapons Amid U.S. Blockade

According to Trump in a recent interview on the 77WABC radio program, the U.S. president expressed confidence that Iran will abandon uranium enrichment and nuclear weapons development. Trump stated that U.S. economic pressure and port blockades are forcing Iran to comply, saying, ‘They will stop 100 percent.’ He noted that the U.S. has eliminated Iran’s navy, air force, and leadership, and is maintaining direct contact with Iranian officials without rushing to reach an agreement. Negotiations with Tehran have stalled, though Trump expressed full confidence in Iran’s eventual capitulation.
