According to Jin10, on Monday (July 28), President Trump endorsed Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh and criticized other Federal Reserve board members for resisting rate cuts. Trump said Warsh is "terrific," but the Fed board includes members he described as "highly political" who oppose lowering rates. Speaking from Air Force One, Trump stated: "Kevin wants to do the right thing. Some people want to hold us back." Trump reiterated his position that the U.S. should have the lowest interest rates globally, arguing that rate cuts would unlock higher GDP growth for the economy.
