Triple-A Confirms Treasury Wallet Breach, Loses $11.8M on Monday

Triple-A, a Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm, confirmed on Monday that unauthorized access to its treasury wallets resulted in losses of $11.8 million, as estimated by onchain investigator Specter. The company detected the breach on Saturday and temporarily disabled services for about three hours to secure the affected infrastructure.

Client funds were not affected as Triple-A does not custody digital assets and maintains separate trust accounts with safeguarding institutions. All services have been restored and transactions are processing normally. Triple-A said it is collaborating with cybersecurity specialists, blockchain forensics firms and the Singapore Police Force to investigate the incident and trace the stolen assets.
