Tokyo Electric Power Halts Fukushima Nuclear Contaminated Water Discharge After System Alarm on June 10

According to Japan's Kyodo News, on June 10 at 4 p.m. Japan time (3 p.m. Beijing time), Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Station triggered a system abnormal alarm during contaminated water transfer operations, causing the discharge operation to automatically stop.

The company stated that staff subsequently inspected on-site equipment and found no anomalies. Tokyo Electric Power is investigating the cause of the alarm.
