Tesla Books $1B Mark-to-Market Gain on SpaceX Holdings in Q2 2026

According to Tesla CFO Vaibhav Taneja on Wednesday, Tesla reported a $1-billion mark-to-market gain on its SpaceX holdings in the second quarter of 2026. The gain was partially offset by approximately $300 million in foreign exchange losses and $100 million in Bitcoin losses. SPCX shares closed down 7% on Wednesday but edged up 1% in after-hours trading as SpaceX prepares for an upcoming Starship test flight.
