According to Herald Business, starting July 22, major U.S. tech companies including Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta will release quarterly earnings, with markets closely watching their artificial intelligence capital expenditure guidance as a key indicator for semiconductor stock recovery. Hana Securities forecasts the four hyperscalers' CAPEX growth rates will expand from 80% in Q1 to 92% by Q3 2026.

Semiconductor stocks have faced heavy selling pressure this week. SK Hynix has fallen 43.82% from its peak, while Samsung Electronics declined 34%. Global semiconductor peer Kioxia Holdings dropped 53.76%, and Micron Technology fell 35.93%. Despite reporting record quarterly profits, TSMC saw its stock decline 2.77% immediately after earnings, as geopolitical tensions, rising oil prices, and peak-out concerns overshadowed strong results.
