Taurus has secured a MiFID investment firm licence through its Cyprus-based subsidiary Taurus Europe Ltd, allowing the digital asset infrastructure provider to deliver regulated investment services across all 27 European Union jurisdictions. The approval was granted by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and enables Taurus to provide services linked to financial instruments, including tokenized digital ledger technology-based assets. The company already operates as a FINMA-regulated securities firm in Switzerland, where it received its licence in 2021. Subject to MiFID passporting procedures, Taurus Europe Ltd will serve as the company’s regional hub for EU investment services from Nicosia, supporting financial institutions exploring digital asset custody, tokenization, and blockchain-based securities infrastructure.
