GateNews
According to BlockBeats, on May 25, Swiss trading company Lytton SA successfully transported approximately 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude through the Strait of Hormuz aboard the tanker Agios Fanourios II, generating around $60 million in gross profit from the single shipment. The company purchased crude oil at a $18-per-barrel discount to international benchmark prices amid pricing distortions within the Persian Gulf, then resold at elevated prices outside the strait. The transaction incurred $35-40 million in shipping costs and faced multiple interceptions by Iranian and U.S. forces during transit; U.S. forces released the vessel after confirming the cargo's origin.
