According to Super Micro Computer (SMCI-US), the AI server giant announced Tuesday, July 21 that it received a record $60 billion in new orders for the fiscal quarter ended June. The news sparked a 15% premarket surge on Wednesday, signaling strong momentum in the AI infrastructure market.

The company significantly raised its profit guidance, now expecting the June quarter's gross margin and adjusted gross margin to reach 15%–17%, nearly doubling its prior May forecast of 8.2%–8.4%. Super Micro attributed the substantial margin improvement to a favorable customer and product mix. The company projects June quarter revenues will land near the lower end of its prior guidance of $11–$12.5 billion, with the $60 billion backlog to be fulfilled across multiple quarters.
