Super Micro Computer Prices $4.9B Equity Offering to Support $39B AI Server Orders on June 10

On June 10, Super Micro Computer priced a $4.9 billion equity offering comprising 45.5 million common shares at $27.50 each and 75 million preferred-stock-linked depositary shares at $50 each, according to The Fly. The company expects net proceeds of approximately $1.22 billion from the common stock offering and roughly $3.68 billion from the preferred stock-linked offering. Super Micro plans to use part of the proceeds to purchase components needed to fulfill around $39 billion in recently secured orders for its advanced AI servers from over 20 customers. Separately, Wolfe Research initiated coverage of SMCI with a 'Peer Perform' rating, with analyst George Notter highlighting risks including margin pressure, customer concentration, and equity dilution.
