Stellar Foundation Announces XLM Account Migration to Quantum-Resistant Signatures by End of 2027

XLM-3.32%
According to CoinDesk, Stellar Development Foundation announced plans to migrate all XLM accounts to quantum-resistant signature schemes by the end of 2027. The migration will be completed through a protocol-layer upgrade while maintaining existing addresses and on-chain transaction history unchanged, ensuring users will not need to swap addresses or rebuild transaction records. The foundation said the move is designed to counter potential security risks posed by future quantum computing advances to existing cryptographic signing algorithms.
