According to Daily Star, SpaceX is preparing to launch the upgraded Starship 3 on May 19, 2026, marking the twelfth test flight of the mega-rocket. Standing 124 meters tall and powered by upgraded Raptor 3 engines, Starship 3 will generate 75,000 kilonewtons of thrust, making it the most powerful launch vehicle ever built.

The Super Heavy booster features redesigned steering grid fins increased by 50 percent, while the Starship upper stage includes a larger fuel tank and enhanced heat shield tiles. NASA is relying on SpaceX's vehicle for its Artemis program to land astronauts back on the Moon by 2028.
