South Korea's KOSDAQ Hits 52-Week Low on July 21, Falls Below Lee Administration's Inauguration Level

According to Korea Exchange, South Korea's KOSDAQ index hit a 52-week low of 731.82 during trading on July 21, falling 15.63 points (2.09%) as of 9:37 a.m. to 734.01. The previous trading day's close at 749.64 marked the first time the index fell below the June 4, 2025 inauguration level of 750.21 under President Lee Jae-myung, sliding 42.20 points (5.33%). Data from the Financial Investment Association showed KOSDAQ trading volume declined 30.33% from 6.78 trillion won on June 4 to 4.72 trillion won on July 16, while credit balances fell 7.94% during the same period, contrasting with a broader market credit increase of 80.20%.
