South Korea's Fiscal Deficit Hits 54.2 Trillion Won Through May 2026

According to South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance announced July 9, the country's managed fiscal deficit reached 54.2 trillion won through May 2026, matching the prior-year period. Total government revenue for January-May stood at 330 trillion won, up 50.2 trillion won year-over-year, while central government debt rose 23.6 trillion won to 1,345.2 trillion won in May.
