South Korea's Auto Exports Hit Record $6.71B in June, Green Vehicle Units Surpass 100K for First Time

According to South Korea's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country's auto exports in June reached $6.71 billion, a record high and up 5.8% year-over-year. Green vehicle exports surpassed 100,000 units for the first time, with export value climbing 31.3% to $2.9 billion. Electric vehicle domestic sales surged 92.1% to 39,000 units.

North America and EU exports drove growth at 12.3% and 13.7% respectively, led by hybrid and electric vehicles. Asia and Middle East exports declined 13.7% and 11.4% due to base effects and regional tensions.
