South Korean Securities Firms Sign Deals to Expand Unified Accounts for Foreign Investors

According to Bloter, on July 12, South Korean securities firms accelerated the rollout of unified account services for foreign investors through partnership agreements. Daishin Securities inked a cross-border business agreement with U.S. broker-dealer Alpaca, enabling foreign investors to access South Korean stocks through local brokerage apps without opening separate domestic accounts. Shinhan Investment & Securities also partnered with Hong Kong-based Guangfa Securities for unified account services. Hana Securities launched the service first in October 2025 with Emperor Securities, followed by collaborations with Japanese Capital Partners Securities and Chinese online brokerage Futu Securities.
