According to Herald Economy, South Korean retail investors have been shifting assets from domestic stocks to U.S. S&P 500 exchange-traded funds this year after losses in KOSDAQ and semiconductor leverage products. One investor in Seoul sold all domestic holdings and moved entirely to U.S. benchmark index ETFs. The flow of capital into U.S. stock ETFs has ranked first in net buying activity as domestic markets declined sharply.
