South Korea FX Swap Points Rise on July 23, 1-Year Maturity at -13.60 Won

According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 23, FX swap points in South Korea rose across all maturities, driven by increased demand for won-denominated funding. The 1-year maturity swap point closed at -13.60 won, up 0.10 won from the opening; the 6-month maturity rose 0.40 won to -6.50 won, and the 3-month maturity gained 0.20 won to -2.70 won. Shorter-dated maturities also climbed: the 1-month point closed at -0.65 won, overnight at -0.040 won, and tomorrow-next at -0.090 won. Dealers attributed the gains to strong bid interest from offshore markets and month-end funding demand.
