SK Telecom Surges 5.33% on Dividend Expectations Following Court Judgment

SK-3.81%
According to financial securities industry sources, SK Telecom jumped 5.33% to 104,800 Korean won today after a court ruled that SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won must pay 944 billion won in cash settlement. Market analysts attribute the surge to expectations that SK will increase dividends from its subsidiary to raise necessary funds, with Hana Securities noting that dividend expansion from premium subsidiaries is now the primary option to address the group's funding needs while preserving Chey's controlling stake in SK Inc.
