SK Hynix ADR Options Begin Trading, 33,000 Contracts Traded on Debut

SK Hynix ADR options officially began trading on U.S. options exchanges on Tuesday, July 14, with initial trading concentrated heavily on short-dated contracts. According to Daniel Kirsch, options strategist at Piper Sandler, traders are likely building bullish positions betting on near-term stock price gains.

By 10:25 a.m. ET on debut, approximately 33,000 contracts had traded, with over two-thirds concentrated in weekly expiration contracts due Friday, July 17. The most active strike was the $185 call with 2,900 contracts traded, followed by the $145 put with significant volume. SK Hynix ADR surged 14% during early Tuesday trading.
