SK Group Chairman Meets NVIDIA CEO on July 24 to Discuss Next-Gen HBM and AI Factory

According to Korean media Kyunghyang Finance, SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won met with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on July 24 in California ahead of an AI summit to discuss next-generation memory development and AI infrastructure investments, reinforcing their long-term partnership.

SK Hynix CEO Kwak No-jung and executives from SK Telecom and NVIDIA attended the dinner. The meeting builds on AI cooperation discussions from Huang's June visit to Korea. SK Hynix will co-develop next-generation HBM memory products aligned with NVIDIA's AI infrastructure roadmap, while SK Telecom plans to establish an AI factory in South Korea to begin operations next year. NVIDIA also announced a new AI research center with Seoul's KAIST university.
