Samsung Launches Smart Glasses With Google, Warby Parker Partnership for Fall Debut With 9-Hour Battery

According to Samsung's announcement on Wednesday (July 22), Samsung, Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster unveiled smart glasses scheduled for fall 2026 launch. The device features a 9-hour battery life under heavy use, includes privacy protections such as LED indicators that prevent recording when blocked, and will not use collected audio or video data to train AI models.

The glasses integrate Google's Gemini AI assistant for voice interaction and connect with Samsung's ecosystem of foldable phones and smartwatches. The device underwent durability tests including water resistance, heat tolerance, and sweat resistance. Samsung has filed over 200 smart glasses-related patents, with the first-generation product utilizing only a portion of these technologies.
