On May 27, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha condemned the statement as a "brazen provocation" and called on the international community to pressure Russia to halt the attacks.
Sybiha also stated that Ukraine is discussing with European Union counterparts the possibility of implementing ceasefire arrangements for specific sectors, including airports, energy infrastructure, and ports, with negotiations expected to involve Russia to establish clear timeframes.
