River, the abstract stablecoin protocol on the chain, expands to the Base network.

Gate News update. On March 31, the chain abstraction stablecoin protocol River has been expanded to the Base network. River was previously deployed on Ethereum and BNB Chain. River said that Base is currently the leading L2 network in terms of on-chain activity, with DeFi TVL exceeding $4 billion, stablecoin market capitalization of $4.7 billion, and nearly 500,000 daily active addresses. After River joins the Base network, users can directly hold, use, and natively build within that ecosystem.

The two are positioned for retail payments and enterprise cross-border settlement, and will roll out stablecoins for different uses by mid-year and year-end.
