Philippines Sends 11 Vessels Into China's Huangyan Island Waters; China Coast Guard Responds With Dispersal Measures on July 24

According to China Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lue, on July 24, the Philippines organized 7 administrative vessels, 3 coast guard ships, and 1 transport fishing vessel, while instructing numerous fishing boats to illegally congregate in China's Huangyan Island jurisdiction. Three Philippine vessels (No. 3001, 3005, and 3017) disregarded repeated Chinese warnings and intruded into Chinese territorial waters. In response, China Coast Guard employed megaphone warnings, interception controls, and water cannons to disperse the vessels in accordance with law. The spokesperson stated the operations were conducted professionally, standardized, and within legal bounds.
