PayPal, Chainalysis, and TRM Labs Pledge to Block Illegal Wildlife Trade Funding

According to Reuters, PayPal, TRM Labs, Chainalysis, and Luno pledged to block funding flows related to illegal wildlife trade during a business forum convened by Prince William's United for Wildlife at London Climate Action Week. Google, Meta, and TikTok committed to using AI to detect and remove related transaction information from their platforms, while telecommunications companies Vodafone, Vodacom, and Safaricom will integrate anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring mechanisms into the M-Pesa mobile payment platform.
