Over 100 Financial Institutions Launch Open USD Stablecoin Plan on June 30

According to Bloomberg, over 100 financial institutions including Visa, Stripe, BNY Mellon, BlackRock, Klarna, Chime, Alphabet, and Coinbase on June 30 launched a new stablecoin initiative called Open Standard to issue Open USD, a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin.

All participating partners plan to integrate Open USD into their respective systems once the stablecoin goes live later this year.
