Nvidia Reports $81.6B Record Revenue in Q1 2027, Loses China AI Chip Market to Huawei

GateNews

According to Nvidia's latest earnings report, the company posted record quarterly revenue of $81.6 billion in fiscal Q1 2027, surging 85% year over year and exceeding analyst expectations of $78.8 billion. Data Center revenue alone climbed 92% to $75.2 billion.

CEO Jensen Huang acknowledged that Nvidia has largely ceded China's advanced AI chip market to Huawei due to U.S. export restrictions, marking one of his clearest admissions yet of the impact from trade barriers. The company also stopped reporting GeForce gaming GPU sales as a standalone segment, folding the category into broader divisions and reflecting AI infrastructure's dominance in its business model.
