According to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in a recent Axios interview, the current semiconductor boom will not face a downturn "for a while," as the chip shortage is driven by fundamental infrastructure needs rather than consumer demand cycles. Huang argued that the semiconductor industry needs to expand five to 10 times its current size to meet AI infrastructure demands globally. Separately, Intel surged in after-hours trading Thursday after reporting Q2 revenue growth of 25%, the strongest increase in more than fifteen years, with CEO Lip-Bu Tan citing "unprecedented demand for compute" driven by AI.
