Mysten Labs Launches Walrus Memory, Portable AI Agent Memory Layer Integrating Claude and ChatGPT

Mysten Labs has launched Walrus Memory, a portable memory layer enabling AI agents to carry context across applications, sessions, and AI providers while maintaining user control of their data. According to Co-founder and Chief Cryptographer Kostas Chalkias, the platform addresses the "real bottleneck" of agentic memory by combining storage, encryption, and programmable access control. Walrus Memory integrates with major AI models including Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, with plugins available for OpenClaw and NemoClaw. Early adopters including Allium, Conso Labs, Inflectiv, OpenGradient, Talus Labs, and Tatum are building applications ranging from portable agent identity systems to customer-memory AI assistants. Developers can access Walrus Memory through Python and TypeScript SDKs.
