Meta Completes Operational Separation from Manus, Removes Employee Data Access as Regulators Seek Forced Divestiture

According to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms Inc. completed operational separation from intelligent agent service provider Manus as of early June, terminating data sharing and removing employee access to internal systems. Meta has also prohibited Manus staff from accessing internal data systems and restricted Meta employees from using Manus tools. The divestiture follows Chinese regulators' April demand to unwind Meta's $2 billion acquisition of Manus. Manus founders are currently seeking to raise approximately $1 billion to repurchase the company.
