MediaTek Leads HyperLight's $80M Series C Funding Round for AI Infrastructure

According to HyperLight, the Cambridge-based photonics company closed an $80 million Series C funding round led by MediaTek on June 18 to expand production for AI infrastructure. Investors also included UMC Capital, Jabil, Foxconn, EDBI, Qatar Investment Authority, and existing backers Summit Partners and The Engine. HyperLight plans to scale manufacturing capacity and accelerate its TFLN Chiplet platform for data-center and AI applications.
