Man Spent 1,500 BTC on Graphics Card in 2011; Now Worth Over $90M, He Now Insures Bitcoin Holders

According to The Block, during an interview at BTC Prague, Chris Seedor, co-founder and CEO of Bitsurance, revealed he spent approximately 1,500 BTC on a graphics card in 2011, which would be worth over $90 million today. Seedor now helps other bitcoin holders protect their self-custodied BTC through Bitsurance, which provides insurance coverage against theft, fire, flooding, physical attacks, and robbery. The company's policies are underwritten by Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Group, and offer coverage of up to €500,000 per claim.
