Malaysia's Central Bank Forecasts 4%-5% Economic Growth for 2026 Despite Middle East Tensions

Malaysia’s central bank governor said on May 15 the country’s economy will inevitably face direct and indirect impacts from Middle East conflicts, but still expects growth of 4%-5% in 2026. Technology expansion will support export growth while strong domestic demand will help cushion external headwinds, the official added.
