On July 23, major European stock indices opened lower across the board. Germany's DAX 30 fell 175.60 points, or 0.70%, to 24,998.50; Italy's FTSE MIB declined 0.96% to 52,284.00; France's CAC 40 dropped 0.55% to 8,391.86; Europe's Stoxx 50 fell 0.60% to 6,279.20; Spain's IBEX 35 declined 0.30% to 19,513.03; and the UK's FTSE 100 fell 0.14% to 10,702.45.
