Major European Indices Close Lower on May 26, DAX Down 0.83%, CAC 40 Down 1.03%

On May 26, major European stock indices closed with mixed signals, with most benchmarks declining. Germany's DAX 30 fell 210.64 points, or 0.83%, closing at 25,183.29. France's CAC 40 dropped 85.15 points, a 1.03% decline, to 8,173.11. The Stoxx Europe 50 declined 73.11 points, or 1.19%, ending at 6,063.55. Italy's FTSE MIB fell 298.85 points, a 0.60% loss, at 49,921.50. Spain's IBEX 35 decreased 87.04 points, down 0.47%, to 18,300.36. The UK's FTSE 100 was the exception, gaining 26.95 points, or 0.26%, to reach 10,493.21.
