Maersk Adjusts France Fuel Surcharges to Weekly Reviews on June 22; Truck Rate at 14%

According to media reports, Maersk announced on June 22 that it will adjust fuel surcharges for the France region due to Middle East tensions and rising fuel costs. The review mechanism for fuel surcharges will shift from monthly to weekly, effective immediately without trigger mechanisms, with updates every Thursday. For the period June 22–28, 2026, applicable surcharge rates in France are 14% for truck transport, 6.4% for rail, and 18.5% for combined transport. For non-FMC cargo, pricing is calculated based on the estimated departure time of the first vessel on the latest booking confirmation; for FMC-regulated cargo, surcharges apply from July 22, 2026 onward.
