Lotte Chilsung Beverage Operating Profit Expected to Fall 1.19% in Q2 2026 Amid Cost Pressures

According to Yonhapinfomax on July 22, Lotte Chilsung Beverage's operating profit is expected to decline 1.19% year-over-year to 61.6 billion won in Q2 2026, despite 3.13% revenue growth to approximately 1.12 trillion won, according to consensus forecasts from nine major South Korean securities firms.

The decline reflects increased raw material and packaging costs triggered by the Middle East conflict, which elevated international oil prices, combined with a weaker Korean won reaching 1,561.5 to the U.S. dollar. To offset these pressures, the company raised beverage product prices by an average 5.3% starting June 26, with analyst Han Yoo-jeong from Hana Investment Securities forecasting that profit defense is achievable in the second half of 2026 as these price increases take effect in Q3.
