According to TechCrunch, Germany-based defense AI and drone startup Helsing is raising $1.2 billion at approximately $18 billion valuation in a round led by Dragoneer and co-led by Lightspeed. The funding follows Helsing’s 706 million euros ($706 million) Series B round in June 2025 led by Spotify founder Daniel Ek, which valued the company at about $14 billion. The increased investor interest reflects rising demand for autonomous defense technology driven by Russia’s war in Ukraine.
