Korean Value and ESG ETFs Concentrate 40-50% in SK Hynix and SK Square as of July 8

According to Korea Securities Depository ETF Check, on July 8, domestic value and ESG-themed ETFs have concentrated 36-40% of their allocations in SK Hynix and SK Square combined, mirroring levels seen in semiconductor-focused products. KODEX AI Semiconductor TOP2 Plus recorded the highest combined weighting at 50.4%, comprising 25.9% SK Hynix and 24.5% SK Square, with year-to-date returns of 160% and inflows of 1.84 trillion won. HANARO Fn K-Semiconductor followed with 49.3% combined allocation and 212% year-to-date returns. Asset managers used SK Square, which holds a 20% stake in SK Hynix, as a means to circumvent single-stock concentration caps while gaining additional semiconductor exposure.
