Kevin Warsh Sworn in as Fed Chair on May 23; Trump Demands Independence, Then Offers Policy Guidance

GateNews
According to Nick Timiraos, on May 23, Kevin Warsh was sworn in as Federal Reserve chair. Trump both demanded his "complete independence" and moments later offered guidance on economic policy, saying growth should not be "cooled down" and that inflation is not inevitable with strong growth. Trump also suggested Federal Reserve policymakers "will align," stating they "will make their own decisions, but they will be listening to Kevin throughout," even those with slightly different positions.
