According to financial authorities on July 28, South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is launching a comprehensive inspection of KB Financial Group and KB Kookmin Bank, with preliminary inspections starting August 10 and full inspections beginning September 7. The inspection schedule falls after the final chairman candidate will be determined on September 11, ensuring the regulatory review does not affect the leadership selection process. The full inspection is planned in two phases spanning approximately five weeks through late October, accounting for holiday breaks.
