JPMorgan Raises Year-End 2026 MSCI Emerging Markets Target to 2,000 Points, Up 27%

According to JPMorgan Chase, the firm upgraded its year-end 2026 target for the MSCI Emerging Markets Index to 2,000 points from 1,575 points, representing a 27% increase and implying approximately 13% upside from Tuesday's close. The bank cited the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as supportive for emerging market trading recovery. JPMorgan also forecast lower oil prices will benefit oil-importing nations, with Brent crude expected to average $96 per barrel in 2026 and decline to $75 per barrel in 2027.
