JP Morgan CEO Dimon Opposes U.S. Clarity Act, Cites Insufficient AML Protections on June 29

According to Fox Business Interview, JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon opposed the U.S. Clarity Act on June 29, stating the digital asset legislation allows crypto firms to offer deposit yields and stablecoin interest without adequate anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) safeguards. Dimon emphasized that JP Morgan and the banking sector will actively oppose the bill, asserting there is insufficient legal protection framework. The Clarity Act requires passage by both the Senate and House, followed by President Donald Trump's signature; the Senate Banking and Agriculture committees are currently working on a consolidated version ahead of a full Senate vote.
