Japan's Nikkei 225 Rises 1.55% on July 22 as U.S. Semiconductor Rally Lifts Tokyo Market

According to Yonhapinfomax, Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 1,026.38 points (1.55%) to 67,258.57 on July 22, driven by overnight strength in U.S. semiconductor stocks. The TOPIX index climbed 35.20 points (0.88%) to 4,050.15. U.S. semiconductor stocks surged 5.21%, with major chipmakers including Micron, AMD, Broadcom, and Intel posting significant gains. In Tokyo, SoftBank Group shares gained over 2%, while Advantest and Tokyo Electron rose 3% and 4%, respectively.
