Japan to Receive First Mexican Crude Since Iran Conflict, Tanker Arrives Friday

According to Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, a tanker carrying Mexican crude oil for Cosmo Oil is expected to arrive at Japan's Yokkaichi refinery as early as Friday (July 15), marking the first Mexican oil shipment to enter Japan since the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict began in late February. The vessel will subsequently proceed to the Chiba refinery near Tokyo, providing Japan with an alternative energy supply source to Middle Eastern oil amid ongoing regional disruptions.
